E-Way Bill and E-Invoice in FreGo: where each action happens
How FreGo carries out E-Way Bill and E-Invoice work inside the transport workflow, without separate portal logins.
E-Way Bill: 7 actions inside FreGo
FreGo Comply connects directly to the NIC E-Way Bill portal, so your team does these actions in FreGo, at the step of the FTL or PTL flow where they are needed.
- Check assigned E-Way Bills. See every E-Way Bill assigned to your GSTIN and pick the ones to work on.
- Validate. Confirm the details before a docket is created, so errors are caught at booking.
- Create docket via E-Way Bill. Pull consignor, consignee and goods details from the E-Way Bill to build the docket.
- Part B updation. Update the vehicle number when the vehicle changes or the consignment moves: at the trip step in FTL, and at pickup and delivery sheet steps in PTL.
- Cancellation. Cancel from inside FreGo when a consignment is not going ahead.
- Assign to a different transporter. Reassign during crossing or handover, at the crossing challan step in PTL.
- Auto extension. Extend validity before it expires, and see what is expiring today.
E-Invoice: from POD to IRN
- The POD is captured and billing is triggered automatically.
- FreGo applies your rate card and GST (CGST and SGST for intra-state, IGST for inter-state) and drafts the invoice.
- After your approval, FreGo pushes the invoice data to the Invoice Registration Portal (IRP), which returns the IRN and a digitally signed QR code.
- The invoice PDF is generated with the IRN and QR code, and is sent by email or WhatsApp link and shown in the customer portal.
- Credit notes are registered on the IRP and knocked off against the original invoice.
FreGo supports B2B, Export, SEZ and Deemed Export invoices, and populates GSTR-1 data from your invoices.
TDS on vendor payments
For hired vehicles, FreGo applies TDS 194C (1% for individuals and HUFs, 2% for companies) on the advance and tracks the annual threshold per vendor PAN. The balance on POD is calculated as freight minus advance, TDS and GST RCM, and 26Q data and Form 16A support are kept up to date.
